How to grow on Kick: getting viewers when you're starting small.
Kick pays partners per stream and lets you keep 95% of subs. None of that matters until people show up. Here's how Kick actually surfaces streams, which Kick features help a small channel, what the Partner Program asks for, and where most new viewers really come from.
The short answer
On Kick, a small channel is hard to find in the browse lists, just like on Twitch. The viewers who stick usually find you somewhere else first: a clip on TikTok, YouTube Shorts or Instagram Reels, a raid from another streamer, a friend's shoutout. A fixed schedule turns them into regulars. Kick adds a few rules of its own: raids are capped, VODs expire fast, viewers can clip up to three minutes, and the Partner Program has hard thresholds. Bought viewers don't count toward any of them.
How Kick surfaces streams
According to Kick's help center, the homepage opens with featured streams, followed by the top live categories. Recommendations are based on the categories and streamers someone watches most, the channels they follow and what's trending among viewers with similar interests. On the Browse page, livestreams and categories can be sorted by concurrent viewers and filtered by language.
So anyone sorting by viewers sees the big channels first, and a stream with four viewers sits far down in a popular category. What you can control:
Your category. Open it, sort by viewers and count how many English streams are ahead of you. In a smaller game or niche category you rank higher and get found by people looking for exactly that.
Your language setting. Set it correctly, so you show up when people filter a category by language.
Your title. It sits next to your thumbnail. A goal or a question ("No-hit run, attempt 12") beats "chill stream, come hang".
A schedule you can keep
People come back when they know when you're live. Put your schedule in your profile and in your clip captions. The Partner Program also counts hours streamed in the past 30 days, so a steady plan pays twice. Three fixed nights a week that you keep for months beat daily streams at random times followed by a two-week break.
Raids and collabs on Kick
Kick has raids. At the end of your stream you send your viewers to another channel that's live, from Channel Actions in your dashboard or with the /raid chat command. Kick's help center says the raid button only becomes active with at least 5 viewers, and you're limited to 2 raids per 24 hours. Pick on purpose: channels around your size and with a similar vibe, ideally people you already talk to.
Kick doesn't currently support several streamers broadcasting on one channel. If you want to stream together, each of you goes live on your own channel and you coordinate over Discord. Shoutouts, shared Discord servers and community tournaments are other ways to borrow an audience that already watches streams.
Kick clips: let your chat work for you
Any logged-in viewer can clip your live stream or your VOD. Per Kick's help center, clips run from 10 to 180 seconds, there's a 60-second cooldown between clips, and clips can be downloaded as MP4 or shared as a link. As the channel owner you can delete clips of your channel.
Ask your chat to clip the big moments, then go through the clips after the stream. They're a free list of what landed. They're rarely ready for TikTok, though: landscape, often too long, no captions. A Kick clip is raw material, not the finished post.
Clips on TikTok, Shorts and Reels: your biggest lever
Short-form feeds show your clips to people who may never open Kick. That's the reach Kick itself rarely gives a small channel. For clips to turn into viewers:
Go vertical. 9:16 with facecam on top and gameplay or the conversation below. Our guide on Twitch clips on TikTok covers layouts in detail; it works the same for Kick.
Win the first two seconds. Start right before the moment, add a one-line headline at the top.
Add captions. Plenty of people scroll with the sound off. Spell names and chat in-jokes right.
Point to Kick. Your Kick handle in your bio, as a link if you can, and one line in the caption about when you're live.
Keep going. Three good clips a week for months beat twenty in one week and then silence.

Save your VODs before they're gone
Per Kick's help center, replays stay up for up to 30 days on verified channels and only 7 days on unverified ones. If you want clips or a YouTube video from a stream, download or hand off the VOD quickly. A 10–30 minute YouTube edit with a clear topic can keep getting found through search for months. More in Twitch VOD to YouTube, which applies to Kick VODs too.
Making money on Kick: subs and the Partner Program
Kick has two levels. Figures from Kick's help center and partner page, as of October 2026:
Level
Requirements
What you get
Subscriptions
at least 5 hours streamed in total, spread over as many sessions as you like
paid and gifted subs; Kick says you keep 95%
Kick Partner Program (formerly the Creator Incentive Program)
verified channel, completed About section with social links; in the past 30 days an average of 75 concurrent viewers, 30 hours streamed, 25 active subs, 250 unique chatters and 3 VODs; at least 250 followers
earnings every stream, based on how many viewers show up, plus 95% of subs
Hitting the numbers only makes you eligible to apply. Kick doesn't publish a fixed hourly rate, and figures you see on social media are individual cases. If you multistream, the partner page says you earn 50% of your usual Kick revenue. There's also a fast track for creators with an established community elsewhere.
From Kick's help center and streamer.kick.com/partner, as of October 2026. Kick changes these terms regularly; check Achievements in your dashboard for your current status.
Buying viewers or using viewbots
Kick's community guidelines ban bots, engagement manipulation and third-party tools that inflate views, followers or interactions. For the Partner Program, Kick is explicit: fake engagement never counts toward eligibility or your payout rate. If it's found, Kick can reject your application, reverse the payout period, suspend or end your partnership and, depending on the case, ban the channel. Paying for your own subs to hit a threshold is also listed as grounds for refusing partner status. And bought viewers never chat, sub or come back.
General information, not legal advice. Kick's current rules apply.
What to track
Average concurrent viewers. It's also a Partner Program metric. Watch the trend over weeks, not one good night.
Unique chatters. Kick counts them too. They show whether people take part or just lurk.
New followers per stream. Note which days and which clips bring them.
Clip results off Kick. Which kind of clip drives profile visits and follows, not just views? Make more of those.
How Virentio does it
We go through your Kick VODs, pick the moments with a person, a situation and a punchline, and cut them vertically with facecam, headline and captions for TikTok, Reels and Shorts. Nothing goes out until you approve it, and clips arrive within 72 hours. We don't promise viewers. To try us, the Pilot is $19 for 3 clips from your own stream. All prices excl. 19 % VAT. More on our stream clipping service page, which covers Twitch, Kick and YouTube.
Stream on a fixed schedule, pick a category where you aren't buried, raid channels your size and post vertical clips on TikTok, Shorts and Reels that point back to your Kick channel. Nothing guarantees growth, but these levers work best together.
Can you raid on Kick?
Yes. Kick's help center says you can raid from Channel Actions in your dashboard or with /raid in chat. You need at least 5 viewers, the target channel has to be live, and you're limited to 2 raids per 24 hours.
How long can Kick clips be?
Per Kick's help center, between 10 and 180 seconds, with a 60-second cooldown between clips. Any logged-in viewer can create them. For TikTok and Shorts, reframe them to vertical and usually trim them down.
What are the Kick Partner Program requirements?
As of October 2026, Kick asks for a verified channel, a completed profile and, over the past 30 days, an average of 75 concurrent viewers, 30 hours streamed, 25 active subs, 250 unique chatters and 3 VODs, plus at least 250 followers. Meeting them lets you apply; it doesn't guarantee acceptance.
Does viewbotting work on Kick?
No. Kick bans artificial views, followers and engagement, never counts them for the Partner Program, and can reverse payouts, end partnerships and ban channels when it finds them.
